On our virtual Coronavirus Town Hall this week, host Adia White talked with Sonoma County health officer Dr. Sundari Mase about advances in testing and new information available to businesses to stay safe as they reopen. Two members of the board of supervisors, chair Susan Gorin and fourth district supervisor James Gore spoke about the disproportionate toll of the Coronavirus on our Latinx community.

Alegría De La Cruz, Sonoma County's Chief Deputy County Counsel, and Maricarmen Reyes, Outreach and Events Coordinator of the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center discussed issues of inequity during the pandemic and suggested ways to make the recovery fair to all community members.
We also heard from Rep. Jared Huffman, D-San Rafael, who explained some of the fine print in the $3 trillion legislation passed last week by the House of Representatives. Although the senate and the president are opposed to many aspects of this bill, Huffman and other Democrats consider it an "opening bid" in negotiations for the next relief package.

Finally, we heard from South Bay correspondent Pamela Lorence who talked with Jill Bourne, San José city librarian, about how the digital divide is making education difficult for some children at home and what is being done to alleviate the problem.
