Analy High School in Sebastopol, on the morning of February
20th, after the tree fell on to the school's music building.
Two high schools in west Sonoma County are closed today due to storm-related impacts.
Sonoma County's Office of Education said Analy High School and Laguna High School in the West Sonoma County Union High School District are closed
That's after a tree fell on the music building at Analy High, said West Sonoma County Highschool Union Superintendent Chris Meredith.
"We felt out of an abundance of caution it was the best decision for our students and staff safety to close and bring in third party inspectors to look at the rest of the trees and facilities around our district," Meredith said.
The district's office is closed and all special education consortium classes are called off today.
Meredith said the closure should be a one day matter.
"We feel as though our inspections have given us good feedback, that we don't anticipate closing school again tomorrow," Meredith said.
No other school closures have been reported in the county for the day.
