The Russian River provides water to as many as 700,000 local residents; close to a million visitors use the river for recreation in the summer.Reporter Pamela Lorence visited Healdsburg last week to meet with Don McEnhill, the head of the nonprofit group Russian Riverkeeper. He told her how wildfires, like the Kincaid fire, affect the river and its watershed.
