Century of Change
In 1900, thousands of American citizens lived in Healdsburg (beneath Fitch Mountain), the Alexander Valley, and all along the Russian River. Just one hundred years earlier, it was a vastly different place. Explore this "century of change" and the people who experienced it: the native Pomo and Wappo, the visiting Russian fur traders, the settlers of the Mexican Ranchos, and finally, the American squatters-- all of whom called this land their home.
