Experience Highlights

Administrative Assistant to Assemblyman Barry Keene
Responsibilities included: constituent problem solving, press liaison, district correspondence, and speaking engagements representing the Assemblyman.

Staff Consultant for the California State Assembly’s Health Committee with Assemblyman Barry Keene
Responsibilities included: analysis of legislation for the committee chairperson, presentations of testimony, and working with the news media and members of the legislature on Health Care Legislation. Areas of specialization included: rural health care, prenatal health care,
and nursing homes.

Program Auditor for the Joint Legislative Audit Committee
Responsibilities included: the State-wide audit of nursing homes for the California State Legislature.

Health Planner for the North Bay Health Systems Agency (Federal Regional Health Planning Agency)
Responsibilities included: assimilating and analyzing healthcare data for Sonoma, Solano, and Napa Counties; development of the 5 year regional health plan and coordinating with community organizations to implement the plan, e.g. health education, nutrition, smoking cessation program.

Gubernatorial Appointee to the Board of the Statewide Health Planning and Development
Responsibilities included reviewing staff recommendations on capital expansion plans from acute, SNF, and other facility expansion proposals.

Supervisorial Appointee to Board of Trustees, Community Hospital, Sonoma County
Responsibilities included hospital long term planning as the Board of Supervisors explored transfer of operations to a third party. Served as Chair of Finance Committee.

Project Director and General Manager for Rural California Broadcasting Corporation, KRCB-TV, Channel 22
Responsibilities included: obtaining FCC license, securing equipment and location of land site, fundraising, organizing staff and volunteers, and initiating and implementing PBS affiliation.

President/CEO – KRCB-TV and KRCB-FM
Responsibilities include overall management of staff, budget, major fundraising, and community outreach for these PBS/NPR stations.
