Just a few important nuggets of wisdom to insure an enjoyable visit and successful bidding during the auction:

1) On-air bidding is fast and furious! This is not like popular on-line auctions! If you really want an item, we suggest you place your best bid right away. Many anxious bidders have been disappointed when they “really wanted” an item to find out they were outbid by $5.00!

2) Unless otherwise stated, airfare is NOT included

3) ALL accommodations and many other items are subject to availability with advance reservations required; many hotels have blackout dates which are generally holiday periods.

4) When a board closes for bidding, the posted bid most likely IS NOT the winning bid. If your last bid was $100 and the posted bid is $100, keep in mind we may have multiple bids at that amount. With 20 phones in our studio, additional bids are coming in until the board closes and there may not be time to post a bid before the board is whisked out of the studio.

5) If you are a winner, our confirmation department will call you within 2 hours of the board closing; if you do not hear from us, you were not the winner.

6) All items are sold “as is”. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We are required to charge sales tax on merchandise!

7) Gift certificates are mailed at no cost; shipping charges for merchandise are paid by the buyer. The cost of shipping an item depends upon the weight of the item and the zip code to which it is going. Pick-up of auction merchandise is by appointment only, beginning May 8. Please call the auction department to set up an appointment to pick up your items. Items that are not picked up after six months from the close of auction will be forfeited.

8) There is a new Silver Board each 3 day weekend of auction. The first Silver Board will close late in the evening of Sunday April 27th; the second Silver Board closes on Sunday May 4th.

9) There is a new Gold Board each 3 day weekend of auction. The first Gold Board closes late in the evening of Sunday April 27th, the second Gold Board closes on Sunday May 4th. The Platinum Board items remain open all 6 nights of auction and closes towards the end of the evening on Sunday May 4th.

10) You may bid online on Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum board items. These items will close to online bidding a few minutes prior to their closing on TV. Please do not put in a last minute bid online. Please call in your bid to 800-287-2722.

11) If you are calling in your bids, you will be able to give the phone bank operator your maximum bid for an item on any board. If you give us a maximum bid, we will bid on your behalf, in the minimum bid increments for each board, not to exceed your maximum amount.

12) Acceptable forms of payment: VISA, Mastercard, Discover card and bank debit card (has VISA or Mastercard symbol on it). We do not accept cash or checks, no exceptions. If you are the winning bidder on an item, you will be asked for your credit card number at confirmation and your card will be charged that night. We are required to charge sales tax on merchandise.

13) The majority of people involved with the auction are volunteers; if you are lucky enough to get a call from our confirmation department, please be aware that these kind folk are donating their time and are usually there for just that one night. If you have questions about an item, ask it at confirmation - they may not have all the answers, but they can refer you to someone who can assist you.

14) Manipulative practices in auction bidding will prohibit you from winning the item. We are savvy in determining these practices and work with local authorities to prevent and prosecute.

REMEMBER: when you bid during auction, you’re doing more than getting a unique item – you are helping to keep KRCB Television 22 on the air!
